Rebel Wilson has made the most of her summer return home to Sydney by selling her Gladesville investment apartment for more than $800,000.
The Hollywood-based star scored the sold sticker in just nine days, recouping the $740,000 she paid for the two-bedroom garden apartment in an off-the-plan deal in 2015.
Peter Gordon, of Cobden & Hayson, declined to comment on the sale, but was asking between $750,000 and $800,000, and independent sources say he would have secured above the guide to transact in the short time on market.
It was previously used by her sister until last year when it was offered for rent for $595 a week.
The star of the Pitch Perfect comedy movies also owns a Sydney home on the waterfront in Brichgrove, for which she paid $3.76 million in 2014, and undertook a major renovation in recent years.
Wilson’s property interests also include a two-bedroom townhouse in Balmain’s Parkes Residences development, bought in 2018 for $1.88 million.
Wilson’s sale comes amid a run of comedy movie releases, including last year’s hit movies Isn’t It Romantic and The Hustle, in which she starred with Anne Hathaway in a remake of the 1980s classic Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
Wilson also plays Fraulein Rahm in the dark comedy Jojo Rabbit and Jennyanydots in Cats, both currently in cinemas.
