Actor, author and director Rebel Wilson has scored a multimillion-dollar sale after slashing the asking price on her Los Angeles mansion.
The star of Pitch Perfect and Bridesmaids inked the deal for the property in West Hollywood, which she does not live in and instead uses as an office, three weeks after her wedding to partner Ramona Agruma. The pair said ‘I do’ in Italy at the end of September.
The house was first listed with a price hope of $US4.15 million ($AU6.2 million). That was later discounted and it was stamped as sold, for $US3.7 million ($AU5.51 million) on US marketplace Zillow on October 17.
It served as a business base for Wilson, according to the Wall Street Journal, as a place to hold meetings and produce “social media content”.
It is kitted out with a pool and spa, warmed by an al fresco fire, with a custom gym and office or room for making music, the listing advises.
Rebel enthusiasts will spot the How To Be Single movie poster in the powder room – which she featured in, alongside Dakota Johnson – and snippets of her working life in the study, adorned by a Barbie picture.
The gym is lit with a pink neon “Rebel Gym” sign on the wall.
The five-bedroom house was on the books of agency Douglas Elliman.
Wilson has traded real estate in Sydney over the years. Her last listing was an apartment in Balmain this year.
The offering of the apartment was one of the last steps in severing her real estate ties with Australia.
In 2022, Wilson sold a $9.5 million residence in Birchgrove, on the Balmain peninsula.
The property is in a highly-sought peninsula pocket, near foreshore parks, the village, and landmarks.
The elegant, sandstone house was built in 1856. Named Eleanor Villa, it has been lovingly restored.
The property has a view of the harbour bridge and is a style statement in itself.
