Reese Witherspoon has sold her family’s Malibu holiday home for more than $9.2 million, pocketing a tidy profit of $685,000 in the space of a year for herself and her husband Jim Toth.
Variety reports that the Oscar-winning actress and Nashville native originally bought the picture-perfect hobby farmhouse in 2019 but was persuaded to sell after an off-market deal was secured recently.
She has been on a real estate selling spree of late, offloading her Californian mansion in Pacific Palisades for a whopping $23.3 million only six months ago.
The three-bedroom, three-bathroom Californian house was built in 1950 as a humble mid-century ranch and is set on about 0.8 hectares.
It has since been renovated by a couple who ran the property as a wedding venue before selling it to Witherspoon.
The estate also features a barn-style guesthouse with a full kitchen, a separate art studio and a movie room.
The grounds include orchards of fruit trees, vegetable gardens and venerable sycamores. The property also has equestrian facilities including stables and a riding ring.
She still holds a multimillion-dollar oceanfront Bahamas house as well as owning several homes in her home state of Tennessee.
