The home, described as a chic take on a Cape Cod-style home, was built five years ago.

With five bedrooms and eight bathrooms, the home on 584 square metres of land, is surrounded by tall hedges for ultimate privacy.

It includes an outdoor pool and a gourmet kitchen, as well as plenty of space for entertaining. It also, not surprisingly, has a theatre room for movie nights in a guest home also on the property.

It is being sold by Jonathan Ruiz with The Agency.

The Worthingtons bought the home in late 2018, from X-Men franchise producer Simon Kinberg for around $A11.7 million – half the originally listed asking price.

Sam Worthington has starred in blockbuster movies including Avatar, Terminator Salvation and Clash of the Titans. He is set to reprise his role in the upcoming Avatar 2, which also stars Kate Winslet.

Meanwhile, his wife Lara, formerly known as Lara Bingle, has kept a low profile since her infamous turn on TV show Being Lara Bingle

The two have three children together including Rocket Zot, 5, and Racer, 4. Their third son, whose name is yet to be revealed, was born in May.

Sam and Lara are reportedly selling up to move back to Australia, as Sam will be taking on a role in the Sydney Theatre Company production of Appropriate scheduled for March 2021.
