Golden Globe-winning actor Sarah Paulson has sold her mobile home in Paradise Cove a year after it first came to market.

Paulson, who starred in American Horror Story and Ratched, first listed the tiny beach shack in March 2024 with an asking price of $US2 million ($3.1 million).

She sold it for $US1.45 million ($2.27 million), more than $800,000 less than asking.

The trailer home is located in Paradise Cove, a quiet beachside community long known as a celebrity enclave.

Pamela Anderson, Stevie Nicks and Matthew McConaughey have all owned holiday shacks in the trailer park.

With its eggplant-purple facade, Paulson’s mobile home is one of the most distinctive properties in the area.

Inside, an airy kitchen and dining room is flooded with light from wedge-shaped windows.

A narrow corridor leads to Paulson’s “tiny, tiny ship’s cabin of a bedroom”, which is decked out in wallpaper by the Italian designer Idarica Gazzoni.

The generous bathroom features vintage sconce lighting and blush-pink clay tiles.

Paulson bought the mobile home during the COVID-19 pandemic, after visiting a friend’s beachside home.

“It was January and the tide was so far out that the beach felt like a moonscape,” she told Architectural Digest

“The ocean never called to me. I’m the person who’s afraid there’s a shark in my bathtub. But the beach was stunning. How did I live here for so many years and not understand the beauty of the coastline?”

Paulson bought the trailer house in 2020 for $US860,000 ($1.34 million), and worked with designer Amy Kehoe to revamp the interiors.

The house was sold fully furnished, and came with an added bonus – a “top-of-the-line” golf cart.
