Agent Sean Roper from Paul Fosh Auctions tells The Mirror  the seaside cottage in Wales will go to auction with bidding starting at £15 (about $AU29).

Previously a rental, the two-bedroom home is an easy drive to the village of Aberporth and the local costal walk is nearby.

“Explore the coastline at Cardigan Bay, rich with flora, fauna and wildlife; you can take some boat trips and enjoy an afternoon of fishing,” the listing says.

Nearby, too, is a historic 12th century castle, which boosts its credentials as a holiday rental or Airbnb.

“This well-appointed cottage boasts a spacious and inviting feel, well-suited to families or friends looking to explore this wonderful coastal region of Wales,” the listing says.

Roper tells The Mirror the pretty home could sell for a lot more than its cut-price starting point, and it comes fully furnished, with weekenders and holidaymakers already lined up with bookings, should the owner wish to retain it as an investment.

“For just £15 one lucky bidder could land the lovely coastal cottage and with it endless holidays in this wonderful coastal region, near Aberporth, for many years to come,” he says in the British newspaper.

“It’d make an ideal base for family holidays or even for friends looking to enjoy the wonderful west Wales countryside and the rambling delights of the Wales Coast Path and Ceredigion.”

The auction launches online on November 5 and concludes on November 7. At the time of publication, 109 prospective buyers were registered to watch the bidding.
