A tiny studio flat for rent in London has attracted attention due to its hair-raising bed.
Sleeping in the bed will cost you $2,569 per month – and quite possibly your life.
It’s located in a small studio for rent in the north London suburb of Finsbury Park.
The wall-mounted bed is suspended in the air, and supported by a single metal pole. There are no railings to prevent an unwitting renter from falling out of bed in the middle of the night.
The listing on OpenRent describes the bed as “a comfortable suspended king bed” which is accessed “through a built-in wooden staircase”.
Underneath the bed is a sofa that unfolds into a double bed – perfect for those who prefer not to risk the bunk bed above.
The studio flat also comes with a small kitchenette, a TV, an open storage cabinet, and an ensuite bathroom.
For £300 ($AU592) per week, the studio may sound pricey, but the property has already found a tenant.
It’s designed as a short-term rental property for people who are staying in London for up to three months.
“If you are already in London and need a space for a short period of time or if you are coming to spend your holidays this is the space for you,” the listing says.
The flat is a three-minute walk away from Finsbury Park Tube station, where there is a direct connection to Heathrow Airport.
Kings Cross and Victoria railway stations are also within 20 minutes of the studio flat.
