The striking five-bedroom home, sold through Blackshaw Gungahlin’s Thom Eriksson-Lake, achieved a sale price of $2.1 million, reflecting the ongoing demand for premium homes in the nation’s capital.

Eriksson-Lake said there was strong interest throughout the campaign and two registered bidders on the day of auction.

“The buyers were local and were drawn to the location, the uniqueness of the house and the generous size of the property,” he said.

“Duffy has become a sought-after suburb due to its convenient location and easy access to popular walking trails and Mount Stromlo trails.”

The sale underscores Duffy’s rising appeal, with median house prices in the suburb climbing by 3.4 per cent over the past 12 months to reach $1.2 million, on Domain data.

The property boasts a huge 2470-square-metre parcel of land and an impressive 393 square metres of building area, with 313 square metres dedicated to living space.
