Supermodel Linda Evangelista has listed her luxury Manhattan penthouse.
The Canadian fashion icon is selling the four-bedroom property, complete with a dressing room with six custom floor-to-ceiling closets, for $13 million (US$8 million).
The price marks a near $2 million cut on the previous asking price of $15 million.
Evangelista, who remains one of the most prominent supermodels of the 1990s, first listed the property in May last year for US$9.5 million ($15 million).
She bought the penthouse in 2001 for US$1.4 million, which is US$2.5 million ($4 million) in today’s money.
“Live like a supermodel in this Chelsea penthouse,” the listing teases.
“Perched atop The Spears Building, a coveted full-service condominium, this four-bedroom, two-bathroom showpiece is bathed in natural light with three exposures (north, east, and south), while impressive skylights and a wood-burning fireplace anchor the expansive great room, perfect for lavish entertaining or intimate nights in.”
The Spears Building was originally built in 1880 and is a meticulously maintained, pet-friendly boutique complex with full-time doorman and concierge service.
“With exposed brick, polished concrete floors, soaring ceilings that reach up to 13′ tall, and skylights throughout,” the listing reads.
The property also boasts a windowed pass-through kitchen, butcher-block countertops and stainless-steel appliances including a Sub-Zero fridge.
The main bedroom has views of Manhattan’s High Line and an ensuite with a soaking tub and glass shower.
The property’s dressing room contains six floor-to-ceiling custom closets.
The remaining three bedrooms are spacious and offer ample room for guests, home offices or creative spaces, the listing suggests.
The luxury doesn’t stop with the interiors. There is also a private rooftop spanning 232 square metres.
The property is on the market with Steve Gold of The Corcoran Group.
Evangelista garnered stardom when she became one of the original Supermodels of the 1990s alongside Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford and Tatjana Patitz.
