Gwyneth Paltrow’s 370-square-metre Tribeca apartment listing now has photos – six of them.
A “home tour” has been posted on the actress’s lifestyle website GOOP, detailing the “artisanal, bespoke nature” of the luxury penthouse property.
It’s described as a “family space” – there’s a swing for the kids made from an antique Indian door, painted white and adorned with silk pillows, and the main bedroom has a bed so large it needs custom-made sheets.
The key selling point of the kitchen is an “intense and strong” marble counter, further described as “sensual piece”.
As Curbed notes, it also has “fuzzy nap zones” (which sound wonderful, really).
The interiors were done by Roman & Williams, also behind The Ace Hotel and the Standard Hotel.
Paltrow commissioned them after admiring their work at a friend’s place. Usually favouring darker colours, they set out to use a layered, light palette of subtle colours and delicate details.
The kitchen – along with Paltrow herself – has also made an appearance in a 2010 issue of Vogue in which writer Jeffrey Steingarten was impressed with the sharpness of her knives, as well as her cooking skills. Since then, she has released several cookbooks.
Paltrow put the property up for sale in March for $US14.25 million ($19.1 million). Despite dropping the price in April to $US12.85 million, she is yet to find a buyer.
She bought the home with her then husband Chris Martin – of the now famous ‘Conscious Uncoupling’ description of their separation – for $US5.1 million in 2007. It’s currently on the market through Corcoran for $US12.85 million.
