Another day, another Taylor Swift property rumour, this time the pop star powerhouse is said to be the brand new owner of a historic Beverly Hills estate.

Variety are reporting the starlet paid $US25 million ($35.7 million) in cold hard cash for the Los Angeles home owned by a late Hollywood film studio founder.

But the singer took to Twitter earlier today to deny the purchase.

With six bedrooms and five bathrooms, if the rumours had been true, there would have been plenty of space for Swift’s #squad full of supermodels, fellow musicians and other celebrity A-listers to come and stay.

Built in 1934, the home belonged to Samuel Goldwyn, one of the founders of MGM film studios (you know, the one that has a roaring lion at the start of their films).

After his death in1974 the property was left to his son, Samuel Goldwyn jnr who passed away at the beginning of the year.

The home was first listed on the market back in 2008 before being removed and then placed back up for sale in March this year with the price tag of $39 million.

This is not the first time that Swift has been falsely reported trying to ensure there are no blank spaces on her property portfolio.

Earlier this year the rumour mill was abuzz with the news that Swift was the happy new owner of a Scottish castle.

OK! magazine in the US reported that Swift fell in love with the property “the minute she saw it”.

The star again took to Twitter to rebut the reports and the potential fairytale property purchase turned out to be just that, fictional.

Despite the incorrect media reports, the star does already own a a small number of properties across the US including one in the Californian neighbourhood.

In 2011 Swift purchased a four-bedroom, four-bathroom cottage in Beverly Hills.

Last year, she purchased a $20 million loft apartment in New York from Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson.

She also owns an apartment in Nashville, Tennessee having moved to the state when she was 14 years old to pursue her now extremely successful music career.
