Heiress, socialite, entrepreneur and host of her own Netflix cooking show Paris Hilton has dropped some serious cash on a new place in Malibu, and proven stars aren’t blind to a good buy.
Beachfront, of course, and just five minutes away from celeb-packed Nobu, the property was purchased for a cool $US8.4 million ($11.63 million) on popular La Costa Beach.
Hilton and her venture capitalist fiancee Carter Reum snapped up the abode from the late Tom Pollock’s estate, the former chairman of Universal Pictures, according to Dirt.com.
The property has three bedrooms and three bathrooms set across just under 280 square metres and will add to Hilton’s property portfolio nicely. She still has her Mulholland Estate mansion in LA and a penthouse in New York City.
The La Costa Beach home has quite an unassuming facade and is typical of a Malibu home inside: relaxed, casual and taking advantage of the incredible surrounds. Inside there is ’90s-style travertine and granite, an open-plan living and dining space with an open fire and a small courtyard perfect for a peaceful spot of yoga.
The previous owner purchased the home for the same price back in 2007, so with closing and listing costs, they have taken a loss on the sale. This may be due to the somewhat dated style of the home. It is fair to assume Hilton will be adding her own personal touch to the home – after all, even her dogs have high standards.
The 40-year-old’s beachfront neighbours will include Candy Spelling, Fashion Nova CEO Richard Saghian and Heironymous Bosch creator, author Michael Connelly.
