A prefab tiny cabin with a miniscule price tag – and an epic rooftop feature – is listed among the household goods on the major retail website.
The base model of the 20-square-foot “hiking house” on Amazon costs $US16,700 (about $AU25,000).
The nifty dwelling can be bought in three configurations – two with a rooftop deck and one, the cheapest option, without.
For $US19,000 ($AU28,000), a version with a terrace is available, and a step up is the double-storey floorplan, also crowned with a terrace, for $US48,500 ($AU73,000).
Each have a combined living and bedroom, a kitchen and a bathroom. The terrace doubles living space for those who can stretch the budget a little further.
“Bespoke” features include customised windows and doors, the listing explains.
“Suitable for camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities, this mini home provides a comfortable base camp,” the brand says.
The off-grid house is made from galvanised beams and elements of glass, cement, fibreboard and plastic, which will arrive in a 2.2 tonne package, ready for assembly.
Brand images show different internal lay outs, with one including a double bed with head that provides storage, a TV fixed to the wall and an armchair, and another with a couch, a galley kitchen, an air conditioner and shelving.
The terrace is accessed via an outside ladder, to take in the rolling greenery of your chosen location.
The main house is accompanied by a designer tiny home with its own entrance, for family visits or rental income.
The hilltop tiny home has expansive ocean views worth much more than its price tag.
About 17km from Bundaberg, live in the tiny house on the block while you build your dream home, the listing suggests.
