There is tension between the Fans and Faves teams when Josh and Luke take out Master Bedroom Week, despite Ronnie and Georgia‘s master bedroom being declared “one of the most beautiful” ever.

In the aftermath of the surprising results, Ronnie suggests cheating may be occurring on The Block. The shock revelation is the first mention of a massive scandal set to unravel in the coming days.

Before we get to that explosive moment we have a master bedroom to finish. But first we have a pole/post update — Georgia decides the pole must be moved and Foremen Keith and Dan agree to foot part of the cost because of the miscommunication around support for the roof.

Now we can get back to the bedrooms.

  • The Block 2021 listings are now live. See them here.

Mitch and Mark are putting the finishing touches on their bed styling. The twins are also focused on styling and go shopping with Luke’s fiancee Olivia in the hopes her presence will infuse a feminine touch in their choices.

Kirsty and Jesse are further behind, waiting for power and carpet to be installed.

Tanya and Vito have a late-night emergency when parts are missing for their bed. They’re saved when Simon from 40 Winks drops by at 1.30am to bring the leg pieces Vito needs.

With the master bedrooms finished, it’s now time to head to Block HQ to hear host Scott Cam reveal judges Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer and Neale Whitaker‘s feedback.

The All Star couple have the highest master bedroom ceilings in Block history, and even Keith thinks it’s one of the best he’s ever seen. Do the judges feel the same?

Yes they do … well, sort of.

Shaynna, Neale and Darren are all impressed by the size of the room and the “cathedral-like” ceilings, as well as Ronnie and Georgia’s skill at knowing how to work with it.

All three judges think this is a sign the walk-in-robe will be amazing, but they are extremely disappointed by how tiny it is.

But they were not impressed by the size of the walk-in wardrobe. Photo: Channel Nine

Neale feels the walk-in-robe lets the entire space down.

“This master bedroom has honestly got to be one of the most beautiful master bedrooms I’ve seen in 11 years of judging The Block. I wish I could stand here and say the walk-in-robe is done the same,” he admits.

The couple were nervous how the judges would react to their room, given the guest bedroom they delivered two weeks ago was panned for being “bland”.

However, the judges think the master bedroom hits the right balance and describe it as “pared-back elegance”.

“I love that lovely high ceiling, that raked skylight, there’s some architectural detailing that gives heaps of interest to the ceiling, and there’s still loads going on below that ceiling line. I love it, love everything,” Darren says.

But they needn't have worried; Darren loved everything about their main bedroom. Photo: Channel Nine

Unlike Ronnie and Georgia’s robe, the judges think Mitch and Mark’s is the right size.

“I think this is a winning walk-in-robe. I think it’s just beautifully delivered and beautifully styled, and it’s classic Mitch and Mark,” Neale says.

The first thing that strikes the judges as they walk in is the size of the room. While Ronnie and Georgia’s master bedroom almost seems too big and Mitch and Mark’s too small, Tanya and Vito’s is spot on.

Design choices also got the thumbs up.

The also love the bedhead and the wallpaper. Photo: Channel Nine

“This bedhead, it’s really quite gorgeous, with those subtle lights…. And it goes really well with the bedside tables. The wallpaper, I think, is beautiful. I love these wardrobes,” Shaynna says before adding the styling is also on point.

Then to the negatives. Neale feels like the flooring choice doesn’t work in the space. He thinks a darker board would’ve been better.

As well as this visible wardrobe, Tanya and Vito also have a walk-in wardrobe, which confuses the judges. Photo: Channel Nine

Along with the visible wardrobe, Tanya and Vito also have a walk-in-robe. This space is a letdown for the judges.

“Well that doesn’t make sense. Why would you have white doors with black handles when you’ve come from that bedroom? I hate this,” Shaynna confesses.

On the plus side, Darren suggests buyers will be keen for the ample storage offered here.

It’s the moment of truth for the twins, who have used the space originally marked for a double-car garage for their master bedroom.

Darren likes the size and the feeling of privacy the room provides while Shaynna thinks it might “sell the house for them”.

Josh and Luke’s styling has also improved after their “atrocious” main bathroom last week.

“I have to say, I’m loving this look on the bed and everything — the large bedhead, the bedsides. The navy, the blue and the blush, that’s a very unusual combination,” Shaynna says.

The biggest hit is the boys' walk-in-robe. Photo: Channel Nine

The biggest hit ends up being the walk-in-robe, which screams glamour and has ample space, good lighting and a dressing table.

Shaynna even likes the glass doors on this wardrobe because it’s not in front of the bed, like it was in their guest bedroom.

The country couple focused on nailing their styling in their master bedroom after their guest en suite was accused of being a bit kitsch.

First impressions were good in terms of the size, proportions and the way the light floods the space through the skylights and sliding doors.

Neale thinks the room looks good but there are some styling elements that bother him. Photo: Channel Nine

Neale thinks it all looks good but when he looks more closely he spots elements that bother him.

“I’m not sure about this style of furniture. It’s probably a bit old and a bit clunky. And I really don’t like the art choices. There are things that aren’t quite working, but somehow overall it’s creating a room that feels inviting, and a room that feels comfortable, and relaxed, and established,” he explains.

The judges aren't fans of the walk-in-robe. Photo: Channel Nine

The judges aren’t fans of the walk-in-robe though. They think it’s too small, and when they try opening doors and drawers at the same time they find they bump together awkwardly.

With the feedback all read out, Scotty added up the scores.

Master bedroom scores

  • Ronnie and Georgia: 23.5
  • Mitch and Mark: 26.5
  • Tanya and Vito: 24
  • Josh and Luke: 27
  • Kirsty and Jesse: 23

For the first time this season a Fan team has taken out the win, with Josh and Luke’s “game-changing” master bedroom victorious.

Another prize was on offer this week for the best wardrobe styling, but the teams will check their master bedrooms to find out if they’ve been given the vintage Chanel handbag.

Josh and Luke head home thrilled with the win, but Ronnie and Georgia aren’t happy. The couple keep their emotions in check, and while they don’t explode they do seem tense.

And then Ronnie drops a bombshell.

“I guess it helps to cheat,” he says.

Georgia cuts in, “Don’t go there.”

“I mean it’s amazing they know exactly the full schedule of what rooms are coming up and they know what challenges are coming up.”

It looks like something big is about to go down.
