It’s no secret that House 3 has been the home of a few battles this season of The Block: Tree Change, with a few budget blow-ups and biffos with builders.
But as The Block nears the end and the auction bells are nearly ringing, and the real estate agent representing the house in Gisborne says dramatic storylines don’t tell the final story of Ankur and Sharon’s hard work.
Shelley Craft spoke to all of the agents representing the houses on The Block Official Podcast, off the back of a dramatic Landscape Week reveal.
Sean Parker from Macedon Ranges Sotheby’s International Realty is representing House 3, the biggest home on The Block on auction day.
“I think it’s a house you need to see,” he told Shelley.
“Yes if you watch the show, you probably wouldn’t want to come to House 3, but people who do make it up are quite impressed.
“In fact I have had comments to say it is the winning house.”
In terms of how it will fare at auction, he said prospective buyers are looking for a range of different features.
“People want to be able to zone, and I think those old houses need to be brought kicking and screaming into the current era, which I think this has,” he said.
“The ability to zone the house is well-executed, so we’ve got areas we can zone off… so I think they have done an OK job there.”
He says there is a local contingent who is interested in the home, looking to upscale and upsize.
“There’s also been some interest from interstate, we’ve had a couple of buyers from NSW come down as investors so there’s a bit of a mix,” he said.
“I can’t really categorise what and who the buyer is yet, but that will play out in the next week.”
