Perfect scores on The Block are about as rare as a week going by without someone bursting into tears on the long-running Channel Nine renovation show.
Only a handful of perfectly scores have been handed out by the three judges during eight seasons, since the scoring system was put in place.
No couple in any season has ever achieved the renovation holy grail for their living room and only a kitchen in a challenge apartment has ever been awarded top marks.
Bathrooms and bedrooms are much easier to impress the judges with according to the scores, with two couples having hit perfect marks with each since the show began.
Given aces are rarely handed out to the same couple and never more than once or twice per season, a perfect apartment has never existed in the eyes of the judges.

It was a bold move by Suzi and Vonni, but their “gentleman’s club” master suite paid off for The Blocktagon’s resident glamour girls.
The judges loved library bookshelves and said the room was a true retreat, secluded form the rest of the apartment.
Josh and Charlotte are the only other couple to score perfectly on their master bedroom in Triple Threat, but the couple was disqualified after choosing not to use a Jimmy Possum bed they made in a challenge, which was part of the rules.
Dale and Sophie created a bedroom any kid would adore, and scored perfectly in the process.
Overflowing with toys, it was an attention to detail – including a chalkboard table and a Dr Suess library – that got them over the line.
The judges labelled the room, created as a part of a challenge on season five, “a room a child would never want to leave”.
Chris and Jenna were the worst-scored team overall on Glasshouse, but they delivered one of the series’ two perfect rooms with their greyscale bathroom.
The judges loved the bath, the tapware and the tiles, and thought the styling was impeccable.
The amazing waterfall showerhead no doubt appealed to buyers too, who forked out $1.81 million for the apartment.
One of the most memorable bathrooms on the show, Kyal and Kara left the judges stunned on Fans Vs Faves with their bathroom with a view.
“Ok, I’ve got my wow moment,” said judge Neale Whitaker when he opened the door to the room, which included a $6000 egg-shaped bath that looked out over Melbourne’s skyline.
It was clearly worth splashing out the money, with all three judges convinced the egg bath and timber finishes created the perfect room.
Twins Alisa and Lysandra achieved the only perfect score ever doled out for a kitchen – but it was for a challenge apartment on Sky High, rather than the apartment the girls won the series with.
The kitchen featured a huge multi-purpose island bench and polished concrete floors.
But the perfect score ruffled the feathers of fellow contestant Bec, who claimed the twins chose the kitchen predesigned from retailer Freedom, and said “all they chose were the finishes.”
The closest living room to perfect.
Given that no living room has ever scored perfectly on The Block, we’ve found the next best thing – a very near perfect living room.
Matt and Kim scored 29.5 out of 30 from the judges for their hipster living room on Sky High.
The judges loved the open-plan layout and Tasmanian Oak furnishings.
Dea and Darren are undoubtedly The Block’s terrace queen and king, having scored perfectly with both of their terraces on two seasons of the show.
Their Triple Threat terrace was an even sweeter victory for the pair though, with one point taken off the all couples’ scores during the week they scored perfectly on Glasshouse.
The tropical hideaway, which the couple scrimped and saved for throughout the series, also helped the pair win the series at the finale when buyers paid $2.29 million for their apartment.
