Clearance rates in the auction capitals of Sydney and Melbourne have lifted a little, with bargains under the hammer contributing to a softening market that still improved its week-on-week performance.
The clearance rate in Sydney is up a touch after dipping below 50 per cent.
On the weekend, Sydney clocked in on Saturday at 54.2 per cent – a boost on 49 per cent the week prior.
In Melbourne, the clearance rate hit 55.9 per cent (up on 51.5 per cent).
The cheapest deals recorded over the weekend, as reported to Domain, included a humble one-bedroom apartment in the ACT has made $90,000 in eighteen months for the vendor, and a fresh, family-sized Adelaide property for under $500,000.
