If the Netflix sequel isn’t enough to get your nostalgia glands firing, there’s even more good news — the house used in the exterior shots of Full House is for sale.

The property, at 1709 Broderick Street in Pacific Heights, is listed for a hefty US$4.1 million ($5.72 million).

The show featured a TV host father taking care of his three daughters after his wife dies, with the help of his friend and his musician brother-in-law. It ran from 1987 to 1995 and launched the careers of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Netflix produced the follow up Fuller House earlier in the year — which also used the property for establishing shots — and a second season has been commissioned.

The interiors shot used in the original series were all filmed on a Los Angeles sound stage, and the famous opening credits sequence actually shows the “Painted Ladies” houses across from Alamo Square.

That said, apart from being semi-quasi-famous, the Broderick St home has quite a lot going for it.

It has 277 square-metres of living space, three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a new colour scheme of the facade and was built in 1883 by one Charles Lewis Hinkel, part of a family of builders in the city at the time.

It also comes with all the fun of regular Tanner Family family fans, which one neighbour telling the Wall Street Journal that “it’s an endless stream of people. They drive through the neighbourhood blasting the theme song”.

But if want a piece of highly-valued and recognisable San Francisco real estate and don’t mind the odd tourist asking you if you know John Stamos, then it’s a perfect opportunity. The property is listed through Vanguard San Francisco.
