The mansion from ‘Schitt’s Creek’ is on the market again for $23.5 million

The mansion from Schitt’s Creek – La Belle Maison – is on the market again.

The mega-mansion featured in CBC’s popular sitcom Schitt’s Creek has hit the market for the second time in 2021 with a whopping $C21.888 million (roughly $23.5 million) price tag.

Boldly, the vendor’s asking price for the neoclassical monolith is nearly $C2 million more than the initial $C19.9 million sought in February this year. And according to Bloomberg, the French Chateau-inspired residence, aptly named La Belle Maison (The Beautiful Home), has been on the market on and off since 2018.

The vast home was popularised in the pilot episode of Schitt’s Creek, when the protagonists, the Rose family, were evicted from the mansion after finding out their business manager had swindled them of their fortune.

Located in the revered suburb of North York in Toronto, Canada, 30 Fifeshire Road is just around the corner from the affluent neighbouring suburb of Bridle Path, where hip-hop heavyweight Drake built his $100 million mansion back in 2019.

Built in 2012 and comprising 12 bedrooms and 16 bathrooms, the gigantic 2223-square-metre home was designed by its original and current owner, Canadian property developer Van Lapoyan.

The residence features an array of luxuries normally reserved for the aristocracy. Standing proud on more than 0.2 hectares of finely manicured grounds, the three-storey chateau has an indoor and outdoor pool, a heated, custom stone-paved circular driveway with parking for 14 cars, Sistine Chapel-inspired frescos and enough Italian marble to sink a ship.

The massive mansion’s piece de resistance, however, is unquestionably its ostentatious banquet hall.

Located on the home’s lower-ground level, the custom celebratory space can seat up to 150 guests and features granite and marble floors, mirrored walls, crystal chandeliers, and a dance floor fit for a Dancing with the Stars reunion party.

Listed earlier this year with Canadian realtors Khoren Mardoyan, La Belle Maison is now being sold through American firm the Aaron Kirman Group.
