While we may have to wait until April 2021 to see Daniel Craig’s final turn as Britain’s most famous secret agent in No Time To Die, a glittering new Manhattan development is allowing a select few to live in 007 style.

Located in the Financial District, 130 William is a 66-storey behemoth in which five of the residences – two penthouses and a trio of balconied homes – have been created in collaboration with the superspy’s favourite marque, Aston Martin.

Who knew the iconic car brand had its own home line?

Ensconced on the 50th and 60th levels, we’re talking wide-plank white oak flooring and lashings of Salvatori Italian marble quarried from the Apuan Alps and crafted by artisans in Tuscany.

The aforementioned Aston Martin Home Collection by Formitalia will populate the living spaces while the kitchens will be a Gaggenau-fest as far as the eye can see.

All you have to supply is the international intrigue and martinis.

At this height, views are a given but the floor-to-ceiling windows in the penthouses soar like a soprano’s top notes while the building’s signature arched windows open onto what they call a garland of loggias – patios to you and me – overlooking the river.

Perhaps eclipsing Bond himself for sheer star power is the architect behind the development.

British-Ghanaian rockstar Sir David Adjaye made a conscious decision to step away from the curtain wall glass buildings so common in Manhattan and instead tipped his stylish hat to the fluted masonry and hand-cast stone that once characterised the Big Apple.

Best known for designing the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African-American History and Culture, Adjaye employed a series of facade panels slightly angled on each floor to provide a sense of fluid motion in a stationary object.

That’s revolutionary in itself, as is his notion of what he describes as the look of volcanic rock punctured by rows of arched windows.

Adjaye’s eye is everywhere from the silhouette on the skyline to personally designing the copper fixtures and fittings used throughout. The man misses nothing.

Prices are a bit different from Adjaye’s last multi-unit residential project, the Sugar Hill affordable housing complex in upper Manhattan.

Just shy of $1 million will score you a studio, with four bedroom units coming in at about $7.5 million.

In addition to the home itself, residents have access to a large health and wellness centre with a spa, basketball court and yoga studio, an IMAX private theatre, a golf simulator and a children’s play centre.

On top of the building is an open-air observatory with shared lounge space and barbecues, but if you can’t quite stomach socialising with your fellow millionaires, you can shell out a further fee to buy one of the private cabanas.

And should you decide to stump for one of the Aston-Martin collaboration homes, they’ll even throw in a special edition Aston Martin DBX SUV. Just like the one you-know-who drives.
