If the walls of The Project co-host Peter Helliar’s Melbourne home could talk, they’d tell of parties better than any post-Logies bash.

The property at 65 Happy Hollow Drive in Plenty has been listed for sale, with the agent’s price expectations above $3 million.

The comedian is fresh off the Logies red carpet and into loading a removalist’s van.

Helliar told Domain one of the pleasures of the home was its capacity for a great party.

“It’s a brilliant entertaining area and we have had some great parties, and Grand Final day is always at our place,” he said.

“I had my 40th there in June and what was a big night … [if the walls could talk] there would be a few nervous members of the Australian entertainment community — including myself, possibly.”

Helliar and his wife Bridget have lived at the home for nine years, with their three sons, aged 13, 11 and seven.

“It is going to be really hard to leave; it was my dream home and we love it, but we get a bit restless,” he said.

“We want to travel a bit more and be closer to our kids’ school – we’ll have two in high school next year.

“My wife has a reno dream … she watches too much of The Block, I think. She has been very supportive of me and what I do, and if we end up finding a house which is the perfect house and doesn’t need to be renovated that will be fine as well, but she is does love the idea of renovating a house.

“In the last couple of years I had been meaning to put a putting green in, because it has got that size. I never got around to it. That is why I am not the reno guy.”

Helliar shares The Project’s desk with two Gold Logie winners — political commentator Waleed Aly, who scooped the statuette this month, and presenter Carrie Bickmore, who won in 2015.

Agent Daniel Broadbent of Jellis Craig is looking after Helliar’s listing, running an expressions of interest campaign. Mr Broadbent said he expected interest in the modern property to be above $3 million.

Inspections will be by prior registration only.
