The median house price in five states has reached record highs, according to the latest Domain House Price Report, released on Thursday. But the skyrocketing growth we’ve seen in past years is starting to slow.
Domain’s chief of research and economics, Dr Nicola Powell, says there’s now a multi-speed market operating across the capital cities, with some capitals seeing prices flatline and fall, while others are seeing prices continue to rise.

The Sydney market is no longer seeing skyrocketing price growth, with prices rising 0.2 per cent to a median of $1,590,932.
