It doesn’t really matter who you ask – nearly everybody loves Harry Potter.
J.K. Rowling’s fictional series about a boy wizard with the weight of the magical world on his shoulders is truly brilliant, and to this day, it captures the imagination of millions of people.
The subsequent movies that followed were also iconic, enabling hundreds of millions of fans across the globe to visualise and experience the enthralling series like never before.
But fandom for the written and cinematic franchise can only go so far, right?
Well, one home in Florida, America, is challenging the concept of what it means to be a Potterhead.
Sure, the exterior of this two-storey, eight-bedroom, 11-bathroom residence appears relatively pedestrian, but what lurks inside its contemporary exterior beggar’s belief.
We’re not quite sure how they’ve been able to accomplish this, but somehow, the owners of this property have managed to fit an incredible Harry Potter-themed homage in the home’s lower level.
Accessible through a rotating brick wall that reads ‘Platform 9¾’, occupants are greeted by a full-size replica of the Hogwarts Express steam train (yes, really).
The unbelievable train sits next to the fabled magical Kings Cross platform, which has been fitted with life-sized recreations of Harry Potter, Dobby and the Whomping Willow.
And the best part of all? The train has its own sleeper carriage with two ornate beds, which would surely make for the best sleepover ever.
There’s also a themed bathroom with frosted glass covering two showers with quotes from the fictional character Albus Dumbledore.
And, if Harry Potter isn’t to your liking, firstly, shame on you, and secondly, don’t stress, because this home has other movie-themed surprises just around the corner.
The house’s vibrant games room is a veritable shrine to Marvel’s Avengers, replete with Avengers office chairs, a giant mural and the fictitious group’s ‘A’ logo.
Elsewhere in the staggering abode, there’s also a bedroom styled to look like Belle’s bedroom from Beauty and the Beast.
As for the rest of the residence, it’s pretty awesome, in more traditional ways.
There’s a huge home theatre (of course), swimming pool and spa, professional kitchen, home gym, wet bar, rooftop terrace and a stunning alfresco area that looks out onto a private golf course.
Priced at $7.6 million, the staggering movie-themed home is by no means cheap (you may need to rob Gringotts Bank), but for the ultimate fan of Harry Potter, this place is surely priceless.
