A studio apartment in one of London’s upmarket neighbourhoods is on the market for a staggering monthly rent.
The ground floor flat in Oakely Street in Chelsea is listed for 1560 pounds per month ($AUD 3000) and is so tiny the bedroom doesn’t fit on the floor.
The bed is above the kitchen in a loft and is only accessible by a wooden ladder.
Though, to even call it a bedroom is being generous.
The wardrobe is in the lounge room area opposite the fridge.
There are two sets of drawers and a mattress on the mezzanine level though, depending on the renter’s height they’d need to either crouch or crawl into bed each night.
As for the likely renter, families are not welcome, neither are pets, according to the listing.
Rather, the ideal tenant would be a student, the listing reads.
“Oakley Street is located within a close proximity of the Kings Road, known for its superb choice of restaurants, shops, boutiques and galleries. South Kensington, Sloane Square, The Saatchi Gallery and Duke of York Square are all within a short walk of the property.
Alternatively, they could be a lone football fan – given the place is close to Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge stadium and the flat is smaller than the size of a penalty box.
Heating and hot water is included in the rent but electricity and council tax is not included, the listing reads.
