This moMA Architects-designed home could topple Ryde record

Will this new home set a suburb record?

Agent Phillip Allison of Belle Property Hunters Hill has plenty of reason to feel bullish.  The moMA Architects-designed property offers a five-bedroom family home and two-bedroom granny flat on a 895-square-metre block.

It’s well-located, with Tyrell Park at the end of the street and Top Ryde shopping centre just a few minutes’ drive away.

The current record sits at $3.4 million for a custom-built home on 728 square metres that sold in August.

Allison says Quarry Road ticks three important boxes for buyers: quality, design and space.

On the high side of the street, the house has a stacked stone entry which extends into the double-height foyer. The ground floor features marble-look tiles while upstairs there are solid oak floors in the family room and carpet in the bedrooms. Each bedroom has an en suite and balcony while the main has a walk-in wardrobe.

The kitchen has a 900-millimetre Miele oven, a five-burner gas cooktop, an integrated dishwasher and integrated Liebherr fridge/freezer. There’s also a butler’s pantry with an additional cooktop and sink. The kitchen sits at the centre of the two living spaces, which open to a deck with outdoor kitchen.

The garden leads up to the granny flat, which has an open-plan living room with full kitchen bookended by two bedrooms with en suites.

Its fate will be decided at the December 2 auction, where Allison expects to snag $3.5 million.
