The luxurious $3.8 million Sydney apartment has been featured in seven major magazines.
Spanning the entire first floor of a former industrial building in Surry Hills, it may just be the best warehouse apartment on the market in Sydney right now.
“It’s a bucket list apartment for a lot of people,” said agent Zakir Abdallaoui of Sydney Sotheby’s.
“These are full-floor apartments, there’s only six in a building, one on each floor. It’s arguably the best warehouse building in the city,” he said.
At 214 square metres, this high-end apartment is as large as an average freestanding house.
Three generous bedrooms spill over the apartment’s wedge-shaped footprint, with raw concrete floors, soaring five-metre beamed ceilings, and huge original windows that allow natural light to pour over the sculptural interior.
Architect-designed by Alexander&Co, the apartment was inspired by twentieth-century Romanian artist Brancusi, and bills itself as a slice of New York in central Sydney.
It was even featured in Vogue, Est Living, and the luxury coffee table book World’s Finest Apartments.
In Abdallaoui’s eyes, one of the property’s greatest drawcards is its size.
“For most of the good warehouses in the inner city, the layout is traditionally quite narrow, so you might only have a width of maybe five metres if you’re lucky – but this is almost 25 metres wide,” the agent said.
So far, he has gotten interest from a wide range of demographics, from young professional couples to wealthy empty nesters.
“It’s close to the tech precinct so we’re also starting to see a few more expats that are looking to secure real estate prior to the Atlassian development happening in 2027,” he said.
The property will go to auction in mid-October.
