THEY have views that range from across the city’s rooftops to the “coathanger” in all its glory.
Sydney’s most luxurious apartments offer spacious floor plans, double parking spaces and – in some cases – en suites off every bedroom.
The Bridgehill Group has just brought to the market its four final apartments in its Milsons Point development. The developer sold the rest of the 120 apartments in the Bridgehill Residences off the plan, but waited until the building was completed before promoting its more expensive offerings.
Bridgehill Group managing director Yibin Xu says he doesn’t expect the expressions of interest process to drag on. He sees the key selling points as location, views and build quality.
“We have reserved the best until last,” Xu says.
“We’re quite confident it is the right project and there will be buyers who will love it because of the beautiful views and beautiful location. We expect they should go very quickly.”
At another already completed building, The Pelican in Surry Hills, developer Stasia is bringing its penthouses to market next week.
CBRE director Ben Stewart is expecting them to sell with ease.
“We sold an apartment in No. 1 Lacey [in Surry Hills] for $5 million, so you would think north-facing, private pool, double-car parking should go very well.”
Stewart says he’s been seeing lots of interest for inner-city apartments from people living in the inner west and the outer suburbs – where some former homeowners are newly cashed up after selling their bigger blocks to developers for millions of dollars.
“They want to be on the fringe of the city,” says Stewart. “People want to be where there are good restaurants and places to go.”

Designed by Cracknell & Lonergan Architects, the luxury Lavoni apartments are just 200 metres from Balmoral beach.
Tim Abbott, director of LJ Hooker Projects & Developments, says Lavoni Balmoral’s floor plans do a great job of capturing the views and natural light in what he describes as a unique opportunity to buy a new apartment in the area.
“Development controls are such that apartment buildings are very rarely built in the Balmoral area,” he says.
Upmarket fittings include Miele appliances and Vintec wine fridges in the kitchens and Grohe and Villeroy & Boch items in the travertine bathrooms. Each apartment has two secure car spaces and a separate storage room, along with lift access.

Life sure is going to be tough for the buyers of the two Pelican penthouses in Surry Hills.
They’ll have to decide whether to lounge in their private rooftop swimming pool – complete with spa jet facilities and mosaic tiling – or soak up the sun on the adjacent timber decking.
The Stasia development of 48 apartments has been designed by Candalepas Associates and is on the corner of Pelican and Poplar streets, about 200 metres from Hyde Park, which gives it a valuable northern aspect.
Both apartments come with two car spaces. Finishes in the penthouses include herringbone oak floors and natural stone.
