We’re rolling into one of the biggest weekends on the Canberra property calendar with auction hammers falling relentlessly and sellers eager to seal the deal before Easter.

Despite there being talks of limited supply, this Saturday the number of homes going to auction is a diverse collection of around 70. But the real test is if we’ll see yet another strong clearance rate above 80 per cent.

If the last six consecutive weeks are anything to go by, well then take a deep breath, hold a firm grip on that bidding paddle and prepare for battle.

But, until then, let’s get you up to speed on how the market is tracking or, more accurately, soaring. Canberra has had nine suburb records in March alone, with that number increasing by the day, and we hit an all-time-high clearance rate of 94 per cent earlier this month.

To help you on your quest to find your next home, we’ve hand-picked our favourite apartments and houses for sale, including two Kingston abodes with gorgeous water views, an entertainer’s home in Taylor, and a grand residence in Ainslie.

Kingston

If you’re a fan of the Kingston Foreshore and have been waiting for the “just right” apartment to be built, this three-bedroom apartment in the Sapphire development could be what you’ve dreamed of.

Sapphire is the final new development along the south-side waterfront – the last residential jewel in the crown of the foreshore precinct – and it is certainly worth the wait.

The balcony captures sensational views over the lake, wetlands and beyond, and the wow factor continues inside with a slew of superb appointments throughout.

406/45 Honeysett View, Kingston

Apartment 406 has timber floors, 2.7-metre-high ceilings, full-height, double-glazed windows, spacious living areas and a designer kitchen with European appliances, stone tops and extensive quality joinery.

The finishing touch to your new luxury lifestyle that awaits is coming home to a gorgeous lobby area which has marble accents, is manned by a full-time concierge and gives you direct lift access to your front door.
