A luxurious four-bedroom townhouse in the prestigious Tempus – The Turner Copperstones estate has been sold for $2.8 million, in what has been described as a record price for a townhouse in the suburb.

The architect-designed residence at 18D David Street, Turner,  was crafted to suit the modern family lifestyle and spans an impressive 378 square metres.

Hive Property’s Josh Morrissey handled the sale, and said the auction attracted 78 prospective buyers and two bidders but was passed in on the day.

“We negotiated with the top bidder immediately post-auction, with the home selling to a young professional family,” he said.

Morrissey said the property was appealing as it is a Master Builders award-winning quad-level townhouse with its own lift, Black Mountain views, a private pool and high-end finishes, and is located in the inner city.

The stylish, townhouse offers a flexible layout, with the accommodation including a basement rumpus and gym, expansive living and dining areas, a gourmet kitchen, four spacious bedrooms – of which two have en suites – two bathrooms and a laundry.

Entertainment was at the core of the design, and features expansive balconies and courtyards and a large, 11-metre in-ground lap pool overlooked by a private al fresco dining area with a wood-fired pizza oven.

In other top sales, a stylish penthouse in the Grand Central Towers at 15 Bowes Street, Phillip, has sold for $1,507,500 through Edge Quality Property’s Ilia Mangos.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home has mountain views and a prized north-west corner position.

Elsewhere, a three-bedroom home at 18 Wheatley Street, Gowrie, set a benchmark when it sold for $990,000 through The Property Collective’s Jacob Stanton.
