Travis Scott may be back with his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, but it does not look like he will be living with her anytime soon after dropping another $US5.8 million ($7.76 million) on the house next door to his own.
It comes as the rapper paid $US23.5 million ($31.44 million) last year for an extremely extravagant mansion in Los Angeles’ posh neighbourhood of Brentwood, and records reveal he has bought the neighbouring property too, according to Dirt.
While his home is just an eight-kilometre drive from Jenner’s $US36.6 million ($48.97 million) Holmby Hills estate, there is not much known about his latest purchase because it never hit the market.
The home was built in 1963 on less than 0.1 hectares, according to records.
It was owned by a married couple who were sophisticated collectors of “fine African and tribal art”.
The majority of their world-class collection was auctioned off by Sotheby’s back in 2017.
And good thing they did, because the Brentwood home was damaged by the raging Californian fires in 2019 and destroyed a dozen other properties too.
The aerial imagery shows the frame survived, but the exact condition of the property is not known.
The home is a single-story mid-century house with four bedrooms and four bathrooms across 315-square-metres, according to tax records.
But let’s be real: the 29-year old artist probably bought it for the land rather than the house. Combined, his estate is now worth a cool $US29.3 million.
The home he bought last year sits on a hilltop with panoramic views of Los Angeles and has neighbours such as LeBron James.
The mansion has 1551-square-metres of floorspace with seven bathrooms and 11 bathrooms over three levels.
It features a range of extravagant amenities, including a 20-car garage, a gym, sauna, a wet bar area, a 15-seat theatre and a temperature-controlled wine room that reportedly holds up to 650 bottles.
Forbes estimated Scott’s worth at $US39.5 million in 2020.
