A six-bedroom manor house in Oxfordshire, England has hit the market for £4.25 million ($8.7 million).
Among the home’s most unusual features is an extraordinary treehouse with a slide shaped like a dragon.
The treehouse was the pet project of the owners, who created a luxury hideout with climbing walls, a ropes course, and a zip wire.
Unlike most kids’ treehouses, this one is fully habitable with a shower room and built–in beds.
The house itself was first built in 1914, and many of the original features have been preserved.
There are wood-panelled walls, fireplaces, galleries, and marble floors.
In the kitchen is a quirky wine cellar built into the floor that opens via a glass trapdoor.
“Designed and built by the well-known Oxfordshire architect Thomas Rayson in 1914, Shotover Edge is a grand Edwardian residence set in over 3 acres of land,” the listing says.
“The house features a state of the art entertainment, heating, cooling, lighting and security system with automatic blinds, all of which are controlled by a single app.”
According to the listing, the high-tech house is also eco-friendly, and comes with a ground-source heat pump.
The Oxford city centre is less than 6 kilometres away, and there are regular train services into London from Oxford.
For those who would prefer to look closer to home, there are plenty of houses on the market in Australia with slides in the backyard.
