US Vice-President Kamala Harris has listed her former Washington, DC home for $US1.995 million ($A2.6 million), according to media reports.
Her apartment in the West End neighbourhood is the second property that Ms Harris has offloaded since taking office at the start of the year, The Wall Street Journal reports.
Ms Harris paid about $US1.775 million for the Washington, DC property in 2017, according to records.
The apartment measures roughly 158 square metres with two bedrooms and two bathrooms with building facilities that include a private club room, a 25-metre heated rooftop pool and a fitness centre, according to the listing.
Mei-Mei Venners, director of sales at the condo known as Westlight, said the block was “the power and politics building in DC”, noting the building was well-suited for the pandemic with a medical-grade air-filtration system and tight security.
A range of measures was implemented after the Democrats won the presidential election in November, including police dogs sweeping vehicles entering the building as well packages delivered to the complex, according to the media report.
In March, Ms Harris also sold her San Francisco apartment in the city’s SOMA neighbourhood for $US860,000 – making a paper profit of $US371,000 since she bought it four years ago.
It comes as the vice-president has moved closer to the halls of power since her inauguration in January, living at Blair House, which is across from the White House.
It is her temporary residence until the vice-president’s traditional home at the U.S. Naval Observatory is renovated.
Ms Harris and her husband Douglas C. Emhoff still own a home in Los Angeles, according to records.
