Olympic legend Usain Bolt has settled into a luxury waterfront apartment on the Central Coast while he attempts to kickstart a second career as a professional football player.
The “world’s fastest man” moved to Australia earlier this year to participate in a pre-season trial with A-League side Central Coast Mariners.
He is renting the five bedroom, four bathroom penthouse of the exclusive Araluen apartment building, which is located an hour north of Sydney in the Central Coast suburb of Point Frederick.
According to a Domain property report, “The Sky House” sold in August last year by LJ Hooker Terrigal for a record A$1.9 million.
The 1089 square metre apartment spans the entire top floor of the luxury apartment complex and was described as offering “premium living with a resort style ambience” in its 2017 listing.
Bolt’s new home features a large outdoor living area which was “built for year round entertaining”. The space is equipped with a grassy lawn, a covered deck area and a private heated outdoor spa.
Other luxury features include a master bedroom with a large walk-in wardrobe and en suite bathroom, a contemporary kitchen equipped with Caesarstone bench tops and Miele appliances, a three car garage and private floor lift access.
Bolt recently made his debut for the club in the final 20 minutes of their 6-1 win over a Central Coast select side.
“I think the big fellow did OK,” Mariners coach Mike Mulvey said of Bolt after that game.
“He was on a hiding to nothing a little bit nervous, but I’m quite happy with him.”
