American actor and singer Vanessa Hudgens has quietly sold her charming LA mansion, offloading the property in an off-market deal for USD 6.7 million ($9 million).

The 33-year-old thespian had owned the home since 2018, buying the property from Academy and Golden Globe winner Gary Oldman.

Built in 1922, the stunning abode features three bedrooms, four bathrooms and sits on a generous and desirable 1740-square-metre block in the affluent locale of Los Feliz.

According to Dirt, the storied property was rumoured to be built by a doyen of the silver screen, director Cecil B. DeMille, for his mistress Julia Faye.

Despite its potentially sordid origins, however, the residence is now a picture of sophistication and restraint.

Featured in Architectural Digest less than a year ago, the house boasts a rustic kitchen, quaint breakfast nook, sizeable outdoor pool and lounge area, established gardens and a guesthouse.

Speaking about her former digs, the High School Musical star said when she was looking to purchase a house, she wanted something with character and rich history.

“I wanted an old home,” Hudgens told AD. “To me, there’s something so romantic about that, a home with character and quirks. I love the old Hollywood elements: The Art Deco air vents, the chandelier over the staircase, the yard that feels like a park.”

Although she only owned the Georgian colonial for roughly four years, Hudgens has made a tidy profit of $2.4 million from the sale, which equates to slightly more than a $600,000-per-year yield.

American Journalist Ronan Farrow and his partner, comedian Jon Lovett, have reportedly purchased the arresting domicile.
