Stepping into Ron Bakir’s penthouse apartment is like stepping into another world. Real estate agents have claimed the unit is the best in all of Gold Coast’s glitter strip.

Just behind the Surfers Paradise Esplanade sits the Chevron Renaissance and on top of the Chevron Renaissance sits Mr Bakir’s 918-square metre penthouse.

“I have never seen a Penthouse that comes close to rivalling this property,” Kollosche Prestige AgentsMichael Kollosche said. “It is without a doubt the best penthouse on the Gold Coast and every leading prestige agent that has inspected the property has felt the same.

“From the moment you step out of the lift every detail has been meticulously thought out.”

The 39th and 40th floor used to be office space for the developer which built the towers, but after the company folded, the floor space was sold off.

Mr Bakir seized the opportunity to turn the floor space into an apartment and set to work creating a wishlist of features for his perfect skyhome.

The end result was impressive, with every possible luxury added, including some most people probably wouldn’t even think to ask for.

There’s 12 drop-down flat screens in the ceiling, a sauna, a gym, and a private cinema – all hundreds of metres above the streets of the Gold Coast.

In the centre of the apartment there’s wine cabinets built into the walls, currently with potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of wine and liquor sitting in them. Mr Kollosche said Mr Bakir might throw the alcohol in, if he’s happy with the price.

Speaking of which, the furniture in the apartment is worth close to $1 million by itself, and Mr Kollosche said that was already included in the sale price.

And if all that weren’t enough – the apartment comes with 21 car parks (yes, really) and close to 600 square metres of storage in the car park levels.

To top it off, the 40th floor contains two outdoor living areas, a bar, and teppanyaki grill.

“Moving to a penthouse usually means compromising, whether that is on space, storage, car spaces, quality, design and much more. However, this amazing property overcomes all of those usual compromises,” Mr Kollosche said.

The penthouse is up for private sale, at a cool $9.95 million.
