A network of real estate agents are sharing information on a man they allege comes to open homes and behaves in a disturbing manner.

A video of the man, sprung rifling through drawers in a bedroom during one open home, has gone viral after being exposed by the worried listing agent in the US city of San Diego, California.

Other San Diego-based agents have come forward to say he’s been at their open homes, or that others they know have encountered him.

Nine has elected not to show his face. The video has been shared widely on Instagram, after realtor Lina Saba of agency Compass uploaded it to her 13,400 followers.

Saba told Nine that she has contacted the police.

“This happened at a three-storey Civita detached townhouse open house I was hosting, ” the caption on her video post says.

In the clip, the man confidently looks through chests of drawers before strolling casually from the room. His gait and demeanour reveal nothing of what he was doing just moments prior.

It is not revealed in the post why a camera had been set up. In the caption Saba says she “sensed something was off” from the moment he entered the home. She says she was not aware of what he did until her client sent her the footage.

Other realtors in the comments allege they recognise him.

“Omg he was at my open house today!” one says. Another says he’d been spotted at her colleague’s open house.
