Woolworths’ former second-in-charge Claire Peters has quietly sold her family home in Mosman for $19 million after leaving Australia for greener pastures some two years ago.

The supermarket boss resigned to move to Seattle to become global vice president at online grocery delivery service Amazon Fresh in 2023.

The waterfront home with inclinator access to a private beachfront had been renovated since Claire and her husband Rob purchased it in 2019 for $9.15 million. It included high-end finishes, including Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, hand-made solid oak doors and Tesla battery packs.

The home had been leased for a cool $9990 a week since the family moved out, records show. The four-bedroom, five-bathroom property on Parriwi Road broke a street record. The deal was negotiated by Robert and Leonie Klaric of The Property Expert who both declined to comment.

But title records show that Bree Taaffe of Oz Design Furniture bought the 694-square-metre block in the tightly held neighbourhood, which is a stone’s throw from Chinamans Beach. It is a sea change for the 43-year-old, who traded up from the Hawkesbury region.

Staying in Mosman, the former Lendlease chief executive and managing director of Citta Property Group Stephen McMillan and his artist partner Emilia Pozzuto have sold their mansion on Balmoral slopes for $23 million, local sources say.

The couple spared no expenses on the Philip Cox-designed refurbishment with a long list of features that include a billiard room, home gymnasium, screening room, an artists studio and a 2000-bottle wine cellar.

The five-bedroom, five-bathroom property was sold by Ray White Lower North Shore’s Geoff Smith and Vincent Wong who declined to comment.

The five-bedroom, three-bathroom property has been transformed by architect Aileen Sage since Halliday bought the property in 2019 for $4.6 million.

It has a guide of $10.5 million to $11.25 million in an expression of interests campaign through Martin Ross and Erik Stoneberg of Christie’s International Real Estate. Both declined to comment.

Vaucluse movers

Ben Alexander, founder and co-chief investment officer at fixed-income fund Ardea, and his wife, Lisa, are looking to move on from their Vaucluse digs with expectations of more than $25 million, which is what the couple paid for it in 2021.

The couple have since renovated the interiors, but the home remains largely the same since they bought it from the Khouri family who undertook a redesign of the 1500-square-metre property.

The home boasts more car spaces than bedrooms, which once hosted the various wheels of Ferrari aficionado Lecha Khouri, the owner and host of Supercar Advocates and group chief executive of the family’s Fenlan Group.

It is being sold through Michael Pallier of Sydney Sotheby’s International Realty.

Down the road, the three-storey home of Robert Salha, managing director of Yatsal Distributors and his wife Natalie Salha, of NS Style, has hit the market with a price guide of $10.95 million.

The Salhas have renovated the home into a luxury residence with a marble kitchen and Wolf appliances, a cinema and a wine and cigar room.

They purchased the home for $4.25 million in 2015.

It is being sold through Luke Hogan and William Manning of McGrath Double Bay and will go under the hammer on 8 March.

A joiner’s love letter

An 1892 brick warehouse conversion, with exquisite bespoke walnut timber joinery throughout, has hit the market in Paddington with a price guide of $13 million to $14 million.

The home, owned by physio Naomi Tosic, was built by her late husband Boris Tosic, a Croatian-born architectural joiner and founder of Elan Construct, a high-end building company. One of its well-known jobs is Paramount, a multiple award-winning boutique office space in Surry Hills.

The home’s craftsmanship was a “love letter to [Boris’] wife”, according to selling agent Ben Collier of The Agency.

The five-bedroom, five-level house has a lift, a private rooftop terrace, a kitchen decked out with Gaggenau appliances, a two-car stacker garage and a basement complete with a gym, sauna and steam shower.

The Tosics bought the property for $2.5 million in 2011. It will go to auction on March 1.

Woollahra locals tree change

In Woollahra, Elizabeth and Greg Sanderson of Sanderson Mercedes in Rushcutters Bay have listed their long-time home with price expectations of $10 million.

While the couple have already made a tree-change to the Southern Highlands, the wide-frontage Alex Popov-designed home has been meticulously maintained over the years.

The three-bedroom house, walking distance to Centennial Park and Queen Street’s village, is set to go under the hammer on 22 February.

It is being sold through Georgia Cleary of McGrath Paddington.
