Willie Garson's 1930s home selling for $2.3 million

The 1930s Los Angeles home of late Sex and The City actor Willie Garson has hit the market.

Garson was best known for his portrayal as Carrie Bradshaw’s stylist best friend, Stanford Blatch, in the 90’s television show and its 2021 follow up series And Just Like That.

He also had starring roles White Collar and appeared in shows such as the Hawaii Five-O reboot and Supergirl.

Garson died from cancer in September 2021. He was 57.

His private 1930s Spanish family home in the Valley Village of LA’s San Fernando Valley, is selling with an asking price of more than $2.3 million (US$1.6 million), Dirt reports.

The actor bought the three-bedroom, two and a half bathroom residence on an 10,388 square-foot parcel of land in 2005 for just over $1 million.

“The dramatic living room boasts a beamed vaulted ceiling, built-in bookshelves, wood-burning fireplace, and a large window overlooking colourful bougainvillea and lush foliage, offering the ultimate in privacy,” the listing reads.

The home’s formal dining room opens to a charming kitchen with stainless appliances, custom cabinetry, and a large pantry.

The main bedroom boasts an en-suite bathroom with steam shower and an extra room that could be used for an office.

A detached garage has been converted into a pool house and has French sliding doors that open to a pool and spa in the home’s private backyard.
