One of the world’s ritziest Christmas tree farms has hit the market for the price of a Bondi house.

Scotland’s Garrocher Tree Farm is up for sale with a price tag of £2 million, equivalent to $AU3.8 million.

The farm is famed for providing Christmas trees to some of the UK’s most elite clients, including the Ritz hotel and 10 Downing Street.

The farm’s beginnings stretch back over 120 years, and the property has “around half a million trees growing at any one time”, according to its website.

“Garrocher Farm extends to over 300 acres of fertile and productive Solway coast farmland,” says the listing by John Clegg & Co.

According to the listing, prospective purchasers will have “a first-class Christmas Tree farm” with the potential to generate an income of £1.7 million ($AU3.3 million) over the next four years.

In addition to the 300 acres of fir trees, the property also offers a three-bedroom stone cottage and additional accommodation for workers.

There are also plenty of outbuildings, and facilities in place for handling and wrapping Christmas trees.
