Representing what may be one of the least cost-effective rental properties in the world right now, fashion model and TV personality Kimora Lee Simmons is looking to lease out her LA mansion for a massive $86,000 per month.
To put that in terms we Aussies can understand, what with rent usually being a ‘per-week’ scenario Down Under, that equates to $21,500 every seven days.
So what does the massive five-figure sum get would-be renters? Well, while it is a staggering amount of money, Simmons’ abode is undeniably jaw-dropping.
Spread over just under 4000-square-metres of lush, manicured grounds in the unendingly popular locale of Beverly Hills, the certifiable mansion has a lot going for it.
Built in 1990, the Mediterranean-inspired residence boasts 10 bedrooms, eight bathrooms and a host of amenities that go some way to explaining the eye-watering monthly asking price.
Notable features include a massive master suite, expansive pool with accompanying two-bedroom pool house, rooftop terrace, mahogany-clad library, a tennis court, and a wine cellar and home gym, which are located in the basement.
According to Dirt, this isn’t the first time the 46-year old model has tried to rent out the palatial property for a staggering sum.
Less than three years ago, the gargantuan home was also available to rent, but with a monthly asking price roughly $15,000 cheaper.
Maybe the new monthly asking price factors in the US’ currently skyrocketing inflation?
Whatever the case, it’s by no means a cheap place to rent, but for a multi-million dollar actor, musician or tech mogul, it’s probably a fair asking price.
And for us mere mortals, with so many bedrooms on offer, you and nine other friends could split the $80,000 asking price 10 ways and pay a still whopping but much more palatable $2150 every week.
