Your treasured feline friends should have a house - or monument - of their own

We all know cats like to sit in boxes – but it doesn’t have to be just any box, does it?

Dutch pet architecture firm Poopy Cat (it’s real, they have a website and everything) have released their latest range of cardboard flat pack playhouses, and they’re pretty special. Just like our cats, really.

These are miniature models of the some of the world’s most famous pieces of architecture, such as The White House (President Cat!), The Kremlin (Президент кот!) and the Eiffel Tower (Président chat?)

There’s also the Sphinx of Giza, a pagoda, a Mayan temple and the Taj Mahal, so plenty of options for a fussy feline.

Made from recycled cardboard, they are estimated to take around five minutes to put together, and can be used for other pets if you’re so inclined.

Poopy Cats’ previous products include disposable, biodegradable cardboard litter boxes and the customisable, modular Blocks Playhouse, – also for cats.

The Landmarks Range is available via their kickstarter.  The early bird options have at this point sold out, but you can still order your monument of choice starting from  €39 (A$61), and if you’re feeling particularly keen you can pledge €900 for an opportunity to spend a weekend in Amsterdam and visit the Poopy Cat office in person.

The flat pack units are expected to be ready for delivery in July 2016.
