YouTube sensation James Charles buys first house – a $10.4 million LA mansion

It would seem social media influencer life does pay off – if you’re James Charles.

The American internet personality and beauty guru, who has 16.7 million subscribers on YouTube and 16 million followers on Instagram, has just bought his first property at the tender age of 20.

According to Dirt, he has spent $US7 million ($10.4 million) on a brand new Los Angeles mansion in a very exclusive part of the city.

Tax records show the house sits on a 0.2-hectare lot on a quiet, tree-lined street in Encino, in the San Fernando Valley region.

The house itself is a modern farmhouse-style new build spread over three levels with a double-height foyer, indoor spa and sauna, wine cellar, theatre and mirror-walled gym.

It has six bedrooms, all with en suites and the main with a private balcony, pool, sports court and top of the range security system with private grounds and surrounds.

The downstairs living room is reportedly equipped with a fireplace and large windows that admit plenty of natural light – possibly perfect for the new filming room?
